The ‘Next Generation’ Jazz festival hits the airwaves this weekend as talented young artists showcase their skills at Esteban’s Restaurant in Monterey Fri through Sun. The local real estate market posted a strong week with a fair amount of activity across the board as Carmel’s market picked up pace to seize the weekly crown. As always, a few highlights from the week below:
Pebble’s market matched the previous week’s pace with 3 closed escrows and 3 new sales. The top closed escrow came from the famed Spyglass Hill Golf Course – a remodeled Mediterranean style home on the 17th fairway that closed at $3.175M (7% off of List Price). The other closed escrows included a charming small (1,861 SqFt) ranch style home in the coveted MPCC West area that closed at $1.69M (6% off of List Price) and a major fixer near the Pacific Grove gate on Congress Rd that sold for $1.25M (4% off of List Price). The top new sale is an updated 1920’s Spanish Colonial style home on the interior part of Rodeo Rd that went into escrow with an ask of $3.65M. The other new sales include an updated Colonial style home in the Central Pebble area on Midwood Ln, listed at $2.995M and a 60’s ranch style fixer in the Upper Forest with an ask of $1.25M.
Carmel’s market picked up momentum this week with 5 closed escrows and 3 new sales. The top closed escrow came from the Carmel Point area – a European style home on an oversized corner lot that closed at $3M (9% off of List Price). The other closed escrows included a recently remodeled cottage style spec play just West of downtown Carmel that closed at $2.9M (3% off of List Price); a 50’s contemporary in a nifty location of NW Carmel that closed at the full ask price of $1.6M; a dated 40’s cottage on a thoroughfare in NE Carmel that sold for $860K (Full Price) and another dated fixer in the Hatton Fields area that sold for $850K (6% off of List Price). The top new sale is a dated, oversized cottage in a great location of Carmel Point with an ask of $2.495M. The other new sales include a 60’s bungalow in the heart of the Golden Rectangle on Casanova, offered at $1.625M and a condo in NW Carmel with an ask of $995K.
The Highlands area continues to move with 2 closed escrows this week. The top closed escrow was a 50’s midcentury modern style home on the inner part of Yankee Point Dr that sold for the full price of $1.395M. We’re honored to help and represent the sellers of the other closed escrow this week – a rustic adobe style home on the East side of Highway 1 that sold for $1.405M (3% off of List Price).
